Nan Winton was a British broadcaster, best known for being the first female newsreader to the read the national news on the BBC. She is acknowledged on the printed dedication page where her name is underlined by the author. (Please see photographs.) *** Red cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Age-tanning to pages and some light foxing to edges of text block. A near fine copy in equally fine dust jacket with slight browning/foxing to flaps and reverse. A wonderful association copy of this novel set in the Netherlands.
