Under a Glass Bell and Other Stories (SIGNED)

Stated first edition, 1948. Pictorial limp card wrappers. Some chipping to covers; minor loss to head of spine. Title and author’s name handwritten by Anais Nin. *** Initially self-published by Gemor Press, the book became an unexpected success. Nin couldn’t cope with the demand and outsourced some of the replication work to Edwards Brothers, Inc. The cover reproduces the original art work by her husband Ian Hugo. There was no name or title printed on the wrappers. Nin added this by hand on some of the copies. There are clear variations between the copies we have seen. Copies without name/title also exist.
