All I Need Is Love. A Memoir
£180.00
1st Edition
First edition; first printing. Hardback in dust jacket. 265pp. Publisher’s half-cloth boards; slightly faded to edges. Jacket a little rubbed and sunned to spine. First English translation of Klaus Kinski’s highly controversial memoir, All I Need is Love, published in 1988, but soon withdrawn after legal threats by his daughter Natassja Kinski and a more serious libel accusation by Marlene Dietrich. The dispute between Random House and the original German publisher didn’t help and Random House decided to cut their losses. After Marlene Dietrich’s death, it was retranslated, retitled, and republished in 1996 as Kinski Uncut: The Autobiography of Klaus Kinski. The original edition is very scarce.
