It published fiction, poetry and art reviews by contemporary writers. The editorial board consisted of John Ashbery, Ann Dunn, Rodrigo Moynihan and Sonia Orwell. *** This first volume includes the first appearance of a fragment of Wild Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys (two years before the novel was published) and work by Jean Genet, Donald Bartheleme, Cyril Connolly and others.
