Checked Baggage: 3264 Prohibited Items

First edition; 2004. With item 587 from the list of prohibited items; luggage label attached as issued. White card wrappers; lower wrapper stiff, upper wrapper limp. With red image and lettering to front and spine. Spine slightly sunned. Indentations to upper wrapper (caused by prohibited item). *** Photographic reproductions of 3264 items that were confiscated by Schiphol Airport in a single week, purchased and catalogued by the artist. The first edition of Checked Bagage was  limited to 2000 copies; each was sold with one of the confiscated items – our copy comes with a penknife; item 587 in the book. In 2022 the book was reprinted by Thomas Eyk with the remaining items. The fist edition is scarce. Listed in Parr & Badger: The Photobook vol. 2, p.287
