In very good, unclipped dust jacket which had some chips and tears to edges and slight loss to corner of lower panel. INSCRIBED by photographer: ‘To Roy [Moseley]- Three Cheers for Bette Davis – and you. Roddy.’ Full-page b/w photographs by Roddy McDowall of some of the leading figures in the arts, with commentary by ‘equally celebrated writers’ like Christopher Isherwood, Roald Dahl, Henry Miller, James Baldwin, Tennessee Williams etc. *** Roy Moseley was for some time a U.K. press agent for various well-known stars of the day – among them, Ava Gardner, Anthony Perkins and Bette Davis, even living with the latter as a general companion and dogsbody until there was a falling-out. He wrote several somewhat disreputable books about films stars, including Bette Davis: An Intimate Memoir.The inscription must be from a period when Moseley was still close to Bette Davis.
