Gangster Girl
£75.00
Publisher’s red cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Publisher’s stamp to ffe with agent’s contact details on a sticker above. Very light foxing to head of text block. Otherwise near fine. In equally fine Trevor Smith designed dust jacket. Translated from the Dutch by John Scott. *** Remco Campert (28 July 1929 – 4 July 2022) was one of Holland’s best known and loved writers and columnists. Gangster Girl is one of only two novels by Campert that was translated into English. It has been adapted into a film starring Italian actor Gian Maria Volonté. Our copy must have been used for publicity purposes: it has a sticker from the publisher’s agent and a stamp from the Dutch publisher De Bezige Bij to fly-leaf. A near fine copy of this hard-to-find publication.
