£225.00

1st Edition
Hardcover

Limited to 500 copies. Sq. 4to [32x31cm]. Unpaginated [c.240pp]. Glossy black boards with white lettering to upper board and spine and a photograph of Kurt Cobain to upper board. In black pictorial slipcase. Leading corner of upper board very slightly scuffed. Some scuffing to corners of slipcase as well. Otherwise fine. A beautiful copy of this very scarce limited edition photography book by Steve Gullick with photographs of Nirvana and associated bands. Introduced by Anton Brookes (Nirvana’s press officer), Everett True (music journalist and author of Nirvana: The True Story) and Steve Gullick himself. ***  Self-published by the photographer in a limited edition of 500 copies. (No mention of limitation inside the book, but confirmed by Gullick.) The book features magnificent full-page photographs of the grunge scene. The live shots in particular are fantastic and show the chaos and energy of the shows. Some great (and well-known) ‘posed’ photographs as well, taken mainly for Sounds and Melody Maker. Steve Gullick found himself right at the heart of the grunge scene and photographed Nirvana at several occasions. *** Heavy book: additional postage for non-UK orders might be necessary.
