Hugely admired by Paul Weller, he became the subject of The Style Council song ‘A Man of Great Promise’. Notes from Hostile Street was the first book published by Paul Weller’s publishing company, Riot Stories. he was a big influence on Paul, a published poet who died from a heroin overdose in 1982, later the subject of
