4to. Publisher’s half-cloth black boards with silver lettering to spine and decorated green paper sides. Some foxing to endpapers and edges of text block (notably top-edge). Small dent to head of upper board. Otherwise a clean and unmarked copy. In good price-clipped dust jacket, some browning to tail of spine and some chips and tears to edges. Minor loss to head of lower panel. Illustrated throughout with black and white photographs (mostly taken by Ken Regan). First edition/first printing. *** Although this is nominally a book about the Bob Dylan Rolling Thunder Revue tour, it is much, much more. Playwright Sam Shepard’s photo-illustrated diary is a literary masterpiece about small town America in the mid-1970s and a life on the road with Dylan and entourage. Probably the best book on Dylan ever published.
