First edition. Original pictorial soft covers. 105pp. Rubbing to spine edges. Shallow creases to corners. A near fine first edition of this infamous feminist manifesto. Originally self-published in New York, the manifesto got sudden prominence in 1968 when the author turned her words into action and shot the artist Andy Warhol, almost killing him. This first trade edition was published soon after the attempted murder with a commentary by Paul Kressner. The UK edition (also available) would follow three years later.
