First UK edition. 12mo. Original pictorial paper wrappers. Rubbing to covers. Otherwise about fine. A beautiful copy of this infamous feminist manifesto. Originally self-published in New York, the manifesto got sudden prominence in 1968 when the author turned her words into action and shot the artist Andy Warhol, almost killing him; she was sentenced to three years in prison. This UK edition has an introduction by Vivian Gornick and a preface by publisher Maurice Girodias. Preceded by the American edition (same publisher) and equally scarce.
