Collaboration between the poet Jerome Rothenberg and visual artist Tom Phillips. ***Jerome Rothenberg (born 11 December1931) is an American poet, translator and anthologist, noted for his work in the fields of ethnopoetics and performance poetry. He’s known for his highly original and acclaimed anthologies, as well as for his own work. “No one writing poetry today has dug deeper into the roots of poetry,” wrote Kenneth Rexroth (the “Godfather” of the Beats). Rothenberg has published about seventy volumes of poetry, often in collaboration with other artists. He’s a true international poet with a career spanning more than half a century. *** Tom Phillips (born 25 May 1937) is an English painter, printmaker and collagist, known for his many collaborations with writers and his much admired book illustrations (for the Folio Society, amongst others).
