The Razor’s Edge
Original publisher’s blue cloth with gilt device and lettering. Two lines/blocks of Tipp-Ex to front endpapers. Minor foxing to edges of first few leaves. A few tears to margins of last few leaves, pp. 277-284 – apparently caused by separating the uncut pages. Binding slightly cocked. Head of spine a little green (dye rubbed off from dust jacket). Dust jacket faded and rippled (water damage?), with some closed tears and 2.5cm loss to head of spine. Unclipped, with original price of 12s.6d. net to upper flap. White sheet of paper attached to reverse for repair/reinforcement. (Not to flaps.) *** Scarce first printing (with “a” omitted before “gossip” on page 126) of this fragile war time publication, produced “in complete conformity with the authorised economy standards”. *** Please see photographs.
