First printing. *** John Gregory Dunne was an American writer and journalist, married to Joan Didion with whom he often collaborated. In The Studio he describes a year at film studio Twentieth Century Fox, from May 1967 to May 1968. He’s a fly on the wall in boardrooms, at casting sessions; he follows agents, executives, screen writers etc. The Studio is a great inside account of “the state of mind in Hollywood” in the late 1960s.
