Landscape folio. Publisher’s tan cloth boards with gilt-stamped lettering. Creasing to front endpaper. Otherwise fine. In very good [only] card slipcase with pictorial title label. A few dents and tears and slight sticker damage. *** A selection of c. 100 full-colour erotic woodcut prints from the Edo period. Excellent reproductions, printed to recto only (if reading “back to front” as is the custom in Japan). There is not text, only a colophon in Japanese, so we’re left slightly guessing at to the exact nature of this book…
