In near fine dust jacket, with very slight edgewear and rubbing to spine ends. *** After Lowry’s death in 1957 there was renewed interest in his work, leading to reprints and several posthumous publications. During his lifetime he only published two books: the magnificent Under the Volcano and his almost forgotten debut novel Ultramarine, which had been long out of print when a revised edition was published in America in 1962. Jonathan Cape published the same revised edition a year later in 1963. Our copy is a first printing of that edition. (Also available is a proof copy of that same edition.)
